A good product vision should be:

  • Ambitious – Describe a compelling future that remains true as the world continues to change.
  • Inspiring - Creates a purpose and motivation for the people working on it.
  • Ethical - Defines the positive impact the product will have on the world.
  • Solution-free – Don't mention assumptions, the product, the solution. The vision should remain mostly fixed while your strategy or product shift.
