Why self-serve is hard
An enterprise product needs to be flexible and customizable to deal with the unique needs of their customers. But with that flexibility you need to increase the amount of time or expertise needed to implement the product.
Why third party implementation is hard
- Size of your market and the company, unless you are a large company it's difficult for third parties to dedicate resources to learn your product.
