Resilience

"The ability to recover quickly from illness, change, or misfortune" [1]

  • Reactive resilience is when the system recovers using it's existing process. It is more about adjusting and surviving. See Antifragile
  • Proactive resilience is when the system plans for disturbances from events. It is more about prevention.
  • It's not one or the other, you need to create a system that balances between the two.
  • Also important to remember Don’t freak out about what you can’t control
